Conveyance is seeking an Associate to play a key role on our team in San Francisco, CA. The Associate will contribute to all aspects of our development and investment process – origination, commercial and technical due diligence, financial analysis, commodity marketing and transaction execution. The Associate will manage counterparty relationships, prepare investment memoranda and develop and present market and regulatory analysis.
Conveyance offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad energy skill set and take on increasing responsibility while gaining direct commercial experience and working with our investor to execute complex transactions.
2-6 years of energy- or infrastructure-related experience in direct investing, project finance, commodity marketing and/or project development;
Robust quantitative experience including financial modeling, real asset and commodity valuation, geospatial analysis, market analytics, and database development and management;
Knowledge of electric power, fossil fuel and environmental markets and regulation;
Technical experience with conventional and/or renewable power generation - natural gas, solar PV, onshore wind, energy storage, coal, transmission, hydro;
Proven ability to succeed in a dynamic, flat work environment requiring precise quantitative and qualitative communication and presentations skills;
Willingness to generate and defend investment theses;
Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university; graduate degree in a relevant discipline (MBA, economics, engineering, public policy) preferred but not required.
